The 2015 (P) 1 oz American Silver Eagle coins in this listing are in near-perfect condition as certified by the NGC. Coins with a Mint State 69 grade exhibit full, original mint luster and a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. These flaws are limited in scope to miniscule hairlines and contact marks. In the case of these 2015 American Silver Eagle coins, certification houses have adjudged them to have originated at the Philadelphia Mint.
Beginning in 2012, the San Francisco Mint was pulled back into production of the Silver Eagle bullion coin to help meet the intense demand and ease the burden on the West Point Mint. In 2015, the Philadelphia Mint began low-mintage strikings of the bullion Silver Eagles to help meet demand. The Philadelphia Mint was previously home to the bullion eagles in 1999 and 2000. On the obverse of all American Silver Eagle coins is Adolph A.Created in 1916, it appeared on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar until 1947 and is considered one of the nations greatest coinage designs ever. The reverse of the 2015 1 oz American Silver Eagle coin includes the Heraldic Eagle of the United States. Developed in 1794 on original coinage from the Philadelphia Mint, it has been updated numerous times in American history and features on this coin as a modern design from John Mercanti, then-US Mint Chief Engraver.
