1986-2024 American Silver Eagle 40-Coin Set NGC MS69 (Type 1 & 2)
Here we present the American Silver Eagle 40-Coin Set, a magnificent assortment that captures the everlasting heritage of American numismatics from 1986 to 2024. In addition, each coin in this complete set has been individually graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as MS69 on a grading scale ranging from 1 to 70. A score of 70 signifies a perfect specimen.
This set includes both the Type 1 and Type 2 designs of the iconic American Silver Eagle coins. Every coin is safely enclosed within plastic slabs with brown labels indicating its release year, MS69 grade, and unique serial number assigned to it during inspection. The United States Mint updated the production schedule for the brand-new 2021 reverse designs of the gold and silver American Eagle programs, as was announced before the end of 2020. The new Eagles with the reverse design from 2021 were not released on time.
As a result, two distinct reverse designs bearing the year 2021 were released. The 2020 reverse, which had the 2021 date, was first made available. The new reverse design was later released with the latest designs (designated as 2021 Type 2). This 40-coin set features both of the 2021 reverse designs now that they have been released.Authentication: Each coin is graded by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as MS69 (Near Perfect Specimen). The obverse design, Walking Liberty, was first seen on the Adolph A. Known all over the world as one of the most exquisite designs found on bullion coins, Lady Liberty gracefully but firmly stands for freedom. She enters a bright future where the American flag is waving.
She remembers that this freedom was gained at a high price as she looks toward the rising sun. She carries laurel and oak branches in her left arm. These represent the magnificence, tenacity, and unwavering resolve of her people.
The striking image of the recognizable bald eagle is still present in the brand-new reverse design. Highly regarded artist Emily Damstra, most known for her collaborations with the Royal Canadian Mint, created the gorgeous new reverse. With its strong wings outstretched and an oak branch in its talons, the incredibly detailed 2021 1 oz American Silver Eagle BU (Type 2) design shows a bald eagle descending with the branch appearing to be added to its nest. While we still highly value the original eagle and shield design, it made sense to go with a more realistically rendered image of the eagle going forward.
